Petition to repeal the selective service\'s mandatory registration and possible draft
American must come tot he terms thta a mandatory conscription service is akin to cruel and unusual punishment and does not enhance our country's local and national safety and security
Dear President Obama and members of congress
I am producing this petition to you and the members of U.S. Congress in regards of repealing the selective service and its requirement that every male ,25 years of age or older, registers for a possible military draft or faces legal penalties due to not registering with it. I believe that joining the armed forces (Marine Corps,Air Force,Army, etc) is a strictly voluntary choice that should not be replaced by a relic of past wars and that is used in most countries at the expense of a person's personal freedom of choice.
For this matter, I am urging you to please, consider working on the repeal of the registration and draft for everyone in our country.
