Petition to Free Lolita the Whale being held the last at Florida Seaworld
Whale held 42 years in pen to small with no protection from elements
This whale was taken from her family at 3 years old then enslaved by Seaworld for the last 42 years in a pen not suitable to hold her. She has worked the entire 42 years with them and now should be released to an open sea pen in Puget Sound where her family pod is still waiting for her . Upon careful monitoring by Seaworld she can be reintroduced to her pod one of the older females is believed to be her mother . She still recognizes their language having sounds from them played to her. I know we can't save them all but throughout the years Orcas have been found to be dangerous to trainers dozens killed and even more injured have forced laws that trainers can't even be in the same space as them for safety reasons. Imagine being stuck in a small bathtub for all those years when they should be free to roam the miles of oceans that are their home. It's cruel and torturous the way they are forced to reproduce and then give up their young when they are most like us and stay in family groups their whole lives like US. Please help her before she dies in her prison. She has already outlived all of the rest of the members that were trapped and caught in 1970 against the odds and deserves to be released.
