Petition to ban the sale of automatic and semi automatic rifles to the public
Dear congress staff,
1) I am writing this petition to ban the sale of automatic and semi automatic rifles to the public. The right to bear a normal gun should be sufficient for the public to align with the second amendment.
We have seen many tragedies resulting from the rifles from Sandy hook to Uvalde Texas and many more...
Our policemen only bear normal guns and they feel defenseless when confronted with an aggressive person with a rifle. By the time we dispatch a swat team with rifles, it is already too late... history is repeating itself again and again... And we are not learning our lessons....
2) I also ask that even the sale of normal guns should require a thorough background check and for adults over 21 years old.
I have a very strong confidence that if we adopt the 2 above rules, many lives will be saved and we would resolve this many decades lasting gun violence issue in our beloved country of USA.
