Pain Medication Resrictions
DEA controlling quality of life for chronic pain patients
In attempt to control the illegal activity of pain medications it seems that the DEA is causing chronic pain patients to suffer unnecessarily. The crack down should focus on the provider not the patient. Physicians who have nothing to hide should welcome an audit and should be qualified enough to know if a patient actually needs any form of pain medication. By restricting these medications the actual chronic pain patients are made to suffer. Putting a cap on these medications interferes with their quality of life and this is unconstitutional. Many chronic pain patients also suffer from depression and are suicidal, not allowing them the proper amount and/or dosage will increase the risk of suicide. Over turn this policy and focus on the criminal not the patient.
