Pain medication regulation.
Why would I, a 63-year-old woman wake up one morning and say..."I think I will start to abuse my pain medications after 15 years today?" I wouldn't!! So, I come home after the doctor takes my pain medication away and I sit there in pain and confusion and know that over a couple of streets or nearby a drug is being bought and sold illegally. Where will the pain doctors go if there is no use for them? If they were smart, they would be doing what we are doing, fighting this problem. Who will be helping them pay back their student loans if we don't exist anymore? I truly think that if tallies were taken of the number of people who die of pain related issues, the total would outweigh the addicts overdosing.
