Overturn H.R. 1599, the DARK (Deny Americans the Right to Know) Act
We the people of the United States believe food labeling (including foods containing GMOs) should be voted on and managed by citizens of state and local governments not the federal government.
We the people of the United States believe food labeling (including foods containing GMOs) should be voted on and managed by citizens, state and local governments. The House of Representatives should not have passed H.R. 1599 when records show 90% of consumers disagree with the federal government making choices about food labeling and overstepping decisions made at the state level. The House has not voted in favor of what the people of the United States want, has not acted in favor of the democratic process, and now needs to be held accountable for their lack of appropriate judgement.
