OSHA Protection for School Buses and Drivers
How is it possible School buses are not required to have air conditioners? In our area, the kids went back to school in 110 degree weather - and more than 1/2 of the buses had no air conditioning- the other half had air conditioning which did not function properly.
This is not healthy for our children. It is not healthy for the school bus drivers. It is not healthy for our country as it is hard enough to keep school bus drivers due to poor pay.
Please, make it safe for them. Please.
I've asked my 67 year old husband to quit his school bus driving job before he dies of heat stroke - his answer "then who is going to drive the kids"? He cares. I hope you do too.
