No more riders on legislation

Prevent "Poison Pill Amendments" on bills

There have been too many bills that have been killed by adding riders that have absolutely nothing to do with the intention of the original bill. Our nation needs to prevent these riders, or "poison pill amendments" as they have been called, from ever getting added to legitimate legislation. I would like to propose a constitutional amendment that prohibits adding riders to a bill once a bill has been drafted, or even an amendment that limits each piece of legislation to one issue.
