No Boots on the Ground in Iraq and Syria
Tell the government you do not want to send American combat troops to Iraq and Syria.
We demand that the executive branch of the United States government, should it decide it wants the American military in ground combat in Iraq and Syria, convene Congress to vote on a declaration of war. Our government must abide by the Supreme Law of the Land--the United States Constitution--which states in Article I Section 8, "[The Congress shall have Power...] To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water..."
Furthermore, we ask the Congress to vote against this declaration.
In the interest of separating the United States from foreign conflicts of civil war--which would breed more violence, drain our National Treasury, and put American lives at risk--we ask Congress to respect the wishes of the American people.
We have spent well over a decade in this particular region of the world and it has led to nothing but cycles of bloodshed and destruction.
For the sake of fiscal sanity and out of respect for American military forces, we demand Congress to look out for the national interest of this nation by refusing to enter into a combat role in Iraq and Syria. Fighting rogue terrorist groups on foreign soil is not an immediate interest of the United States of America.
