Missouri Democrates push legistation to confiscate guns 90 days from passage
Violation of 2nd Amendment, constitutional rights.
Dear Senators
I'm a resident of the great state of Missouri and I read the news today and was in total shock that a bill is being introduced by Missouri Democrats to criminalize law abiding gun owners in Missouri. The bill to ban any type of legally owned gun and requirement for Missouri citizens to turn them in within 90 days is a direct infringment on our rights. I ask that you reject any such bill and stand behind the senate bill SB-150 to block any further federal gun control. Honest hardworking citizens of Missouri should not be targeted because of the criminal element that exist in our society. I ask you to protect our ability to protect our familys and reject any further gun control laws in the great state of Missouri.
In regards to the SB-150 firearms protection bill. Please help pass this bill to protect the sovereign citizens of Missouri. The federal government is trying to pass over reaching gun control laws that are clearly targeting the law abiding citizens of the United States, but yet they have done nothing to enforce the current laws that they have against criminals. All of the possible gun control pushes they are discussing in the senate judiciary committee on gun violence are all infringments on our rights. They need to go after the the criminals and the mentally ill and leave the law abiding citizens out of this. Like all parents I cringed when I learned of Sandy Hook but none of these gun-control measures they are discussing would have stopped this criminally insane individual.
Every time we suffer a horriable tragdey in this country the law abiding citizens have rights removed. This happened after 9/11 with the Patriot Act and now Sandy Hook and the gun control push. If we keep giving up our rights we will no longer live in a free nation. There are millions of criminals that their current background checks have stopped from getting a gun at gun stores across the US but they have failed to go after these people. If they tried to get a gun and were denied then they will just go out and find another source to obtain it. They need to ENFORCE the current laws and not only stop these people but also go and arrest them. It is really sad to see the politicians in our country immediatley go after our rights and the constitution. This need to stop. The government was put in place to PROTECT our rights, but today it seems that they are doing just the opposite. I urge you to stand firm and lead the way for other states to follow by protecting the people of Missouri. States were giving more control than the federal government for a reason. The States are suppose to be a checks and balances against the federal government when they over step their roles.
I'll end this letter by saying that some Americans still believe in providing for their families without government aid, most of all depend on their rights to protect themselves. I'm all for reporting crime after it's committed, but God forbid criminals break into my house
