I am 28 years old, since I can remember, some of my earliest childhood memories are of Sesame Street; I want to be able to do the same for my son and daughter, and I believe that that right is being taken away. It's bad enough that gas prices are going up, tickets to Disneyland are insanely high, and job salaries are not going up. How dare they try and take one of the simple free things in life that I can share with my children. I definitely support the muppet march!

My children, now in their 40s, wouldn't have missed Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, and the rest for anything. We must keep the funding for future generations. Children need to learn to think and create.

Mr Romney, return your MILLIONS back to the US from your Foreign bank accounts, and PAY TAXES on that INCOME, then we can talk about "ways to balance the budget"... NOT UNTIL THEN!!!

PBS makes education available for everyone. Why would this country want to lose it?

It saddens me that anyone would want to stop funding for public broadcasting programs at all. Already the funding appears not enough. Commercials from corporations have increased by leaps and bounds compared to not so many years ago. What makes and or made public broadcasting wonderful was and or is, from the heart and soul of people that believed in the beauty and truth of their creations. In turn they created a positive and honest heartfelt quality program many of us from multiple facets of life could sit together, learn, be inspired and enjoy. All of this from personal donations, foundations and we the people, government funding without corporate influence . . . so far.

Sesame Street helped my children learn how to read. Shows like Frontline, Nova, & Masterpiece Theater are 1st class programming. There really is nothing comparable to them on commercial TV. I do not think the military would miss 6 hours of funding.

I have been watching PBS all of my life, it was my favorite shows and first shows as a child and still my favorite as an adult, it is my children's firsts and favorites. It's quality without commercial garbage and in today's world that is innocent and priceless... Growing up in rural Alaska we had two channels...PBS and one mainstream affilliate... 90% of the time our tv was on PBS. We learned of world affairs, learned math, caring and sharing and that there were people all over this country that were not like us but friends. Please support PBS it's as American as baseball and apple pie

PBS allows viewers free access to quality educational programming. The letter of the day is "P" for "please don't stop funding".
