Mental illness in Prison
My name is Sarena Ross, my son was sent to prison for a domestic violence. While there he was attack and and started experiencing mental illness. He was never given and type of treatment and upon his release he was set out on the street with out a home plan set in place him. My son is mentally ill and the courts won’t help unless he goes out here and hurt someone first which is backwards and he is living on the streets because he is not in his right frame of mind. I am a black mother tired of our black sons being violated in the prisons system forced more type because of there color use them for free slavery and then set out on the street with no help.
