Make Exotic Wild Animal Ownership Illegal

Wild animals belong in their natural habitat, not people's homes

Wild, exotic animals like tigers, lions, chimpanzees, and ALL non-domestic animals DO NOT belong in people's homes. Private ownership of such animals poses a risk to owners who do not know how to appropriately care for these animals, as well as the public (like visitors to these people's homes). These animals are often surrendered to sanctuaries, or worse, abandoned. There is no legitimate reason for people to own these type of animals. There are plenty of domestic animals that need homes. These animals are often captured from their natural habitats for unethical people to make a profit and many of these animals are or are becoming endangered and are often not well cared for. Sanctuaries, zoos, and animal rehabilitation facilities are the only entities that should be allowed to own these animals. These are places where they can be properly cared for. Wild animals belong in the wild. Please make ownership of wild, exotic animals illegal to own in the United States.
