A person with an addiction, obviously is in his 50’s gets sentenced for a first time non violent drug offense instead of Court ordering Rehabilitation. Good work, and financially, tax paying and Big contributor to Society gets thrown in to prison with people that are there with 2 life sentences. Does this help someone with an addiction, or only make them someone their not. Did they live with the family to see how sick their lived one was, and now punishing the entire family causing tremendous hardship causing medical issues out here because “ITS THE LAW”??? Or let’s help this first time offender so he doesn’t die from this deduction. What happened to the SECOND CHANCE act signed by President Busch in 2008? Surely should apply to these people whom are at this non violent first time offense in their life. As the Presidents said this is a Health Issue not criminal issue. What is wrong with Congress allowing good people to be held like this??????
