Lesser mandated time served
First time offenders, and first time violent offenders should not be overlooked.
They should be able to receive proper rehabilitation and be able to rejoin society as the rehabilitated individual they have become.
The mistakes they made as young adults does not define who they are presently nor who they were previously.
Laws should be changed to allow lesser mandated time served to be released for these individuals.
