Collecting Child Support from Dead Beat Dads
I am a Single Mom with 2 Sons. I have been diligently attempting to hold their dead beat father accoutable since 1998 to take responsibility to pay child support . I dont understand why maryland will not hold him accoutable and to enforce the laws that are in place. Child Support Enforcement continuously let's this man off the hook. He has even produced another child that was taken away from him and the other woman and placed in foster care. Many times he was in court for that case while my case was thrown to the sidelines. Again, Support Enforcement does not hold this man accountable for his actions. No responsibility for him. I have been struggling for years to give my Sons a roof over their head, food on the table, and have been able to keep them healthily. This man owes thousands and thousands of dollars and has never contributed towards health insurance, activities, or visitation. I know many DADS that take care of their children after a break up. Pays not only child support but also continues to be involved in their children's life. These men get screwed because they are responsible and work. Courts always seem to raise their obligations and punish them for being Good Dads. However, the DEAD BEAT FATHERS get away with no responsibility and the responsible MOM, who works and provides for her children gets screwed. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE. Punish Good Behavior and Reward Bad Behavior. No wonder crime is rising, all our children are being taught that Bad Behavior will be paid off. SO SAD.
