Legalization of Physician Assisted Suicide

Physician-assisted suicide is a very controversial topic in many parts of the United States but is not illegal everywhere. When a terminally ill patient decides they no longer want to live cooped up in a hospital without performing day to day activities by themselves their wishes should be heard. Losing their autonomy leads the patients to experience a loss of dignity upon death. If these patients want to die and are capable of making such decision they should be allowed to do as they wish. If assisted suicide is legal in states such as Washington and Oregon, is it really fair for the majority of the terminally ill patients in other states? Is it their fault they fell ill in a state that doesn't allow assisted suicide? This petition is calling the Senate, House of Representatives and the President of this fine country to take the necessary actions in order to legalize assisted suicide nationwide. Make your voice heard and give terminally ill patients what they deserve, a simple choice is all they need.
