Keep Horse Slaughter ILLEGAL
Dear Congress members, as you all know there is a huge debate on what to do with all of our wild Burros and horses. So much pressure from cattle ranchers and BLM are making this decision so easy for people. Living out west we are all very aware that there is an abundance of wild horses and Burros. But we also know that these animals are just animals and they have a right to live freely. Majority of us are happy spending our tax money on keeping them healthy we also recognize that there is an abundance of cattle. Cattle that Ranchers seem to think horses do more harm then their cattle. We all know the truth to that statement. Too much food is wasted in our country. As it is too many animals have to suffer inadequate conditions and care so we can have an abundance of meat and waste half the food that could be going to starving families. The real waste in our country come from us we are the issue not the animals. If you allow horse slaughter to be legalized on U.S.soil you are allowing kill buyers just swarm in and purchase any horse they can get their hands on healthy young and perfectly trained horses will be sent to slaughter where they will suffer a brutal and undignified death. There is no humane way to slaughter a horse this is a fact. Please take into consideration that horses are fed special nutrients and medications by owners to ensure their health is maintained properly. Majority of these ingredients are unhealthy and pose a potential severe health risk to humans if consumed. By allowing Slaughter you are putting millions of Americans at risk this seems to be something that isn't being discussed. We need to stop thinking with our wallets and start thinking of an alternative solution to our problems then a death sentence. Majority of America wants to see our horses safe . Are you going to take the side of wealthy ranchers and a bought out BLM or are you going to listen to your fellow Americans who are fighting day and night for justice for animals everywhere who cannot speak for themselves.
