Keep Daylilght Saving Time all year long in Florida

We could keep daylight savings time all year round, so that we can end the need to change our clocks back and fourth twice a year, all the while still reaping the benefits of enjoying those longer daylight hours that we get from DST that occur from M

Daylight Savings Time begins in March and ends in November every year. When Daylight Savings Time begins in March, we turn our clock forward one hour. This change continues in effect for 8 months out of the entire 12 months in a year. With the change of the clocks forward one hour, we are able to experience longer hours of daylight during the spring, summer, and even a couple weeks into fall.

When Daylight Savings Time ends in November, we turn our clocks back one hour. This change takes effect and continues for four months out of the year until the beginning of March. With the change of the clock back one hour, we experience shorter daylight hours, with prolonged hours of darkness, early in the afternoon.

I am petitioning that we observe Daylight Savings Time all year long. What this means, is that we never change our clocks to enjoy Daylight Savings Time for the months from March thru November, which accounts for 8 months out of the year, but rather all year long. With this change we can continue to enjoy the prolonged hours of sunlight, during those pleasant days of each year, when we tend to enjoy more outdoor activities, and we never change our clocks at all but instead have the same continuous hours all year long with the added benefit of enjoying what Daylight Savings Time provided.

Understanding the benefits, helps us to make smart and uniformed decisions that can benefit us. Changing our sleep patterns to accommodate this one hour change each year, impacts our health in more ways than we can imagine. We are more stressed and more prone to suffer from health issues because of this one hour change in our schedule that occurs twice each year. It also makes sense to keep Daylight Savings Time all year long, because it works for us, those long hours of sunlight are really appreciated and put to good use, mainly because they occur at the time of the year when the weather is warmer and pleasant, and outdoor activities are at an all-time high.

Let?s finally put a stop to changing the clocks back one hour for those four months out of the year and enjoy every day of every year without ever having to adjust our clocks ever again, with the added benefit of the extra daylight that comes with keeping Daylight Savings Time all year long.
