Justice for Israeli Hostages

As antisemitism continues to surge across the United States, the safety of the Jewish community, in a nation founded on principles of freedom of speech, religion, and tolerance for all, is increasingly at risk. Disturbingly, there have been incidents of people tearing down posters depicting Israeli hostages held by Hamas-ISIS. Such actions are deplorable and should carry consequences for those responsible. It is crucial to emphasize that supporting Palestinian rights should not equate to being against Israel or the Jewish community. This misconception is concerning for Jewish people worldwide and ultimately does not serve the interests of either the Palestinians or the Jews. To combat antisemitism, we must unite, raise awareness, and work towards the safe return of these hostages. Notably, Canada's Hampstead has passed a bylaw imposing a $1,000 fine for removing hostage posters, with the proceeds aiding Israel in its efforts against Hamas-ISIS.
