STOP the 30th of June 2019 Massacre in Sudan

We urge the US government to use its power to prevent an impending massacre in Sudan. In their unbreakable will and determination for freedom, peace and justice, the Sudanese people will take to streets by millions next Sunday, 30th of June 2019 in the capital city, Khartoum and all other major cities and towns across the Sudan.
As the entire world is aware, the same Janjaweed militias and other government and non-government forces that resorted to the criminal and heinous use of excessive force in the dispersal of the massive sit-in at the Army Headquarters in Khartoum on the 3rd of June 2019, killing dozens of peaceful protesters, raping and injuring many more, might use the same violent intimidation tactics.
This time, the potential use of live ammunition and excessive force might turn even more vicious, lethal and tragic.
To stop this from happening once again, we urge you to proactively:
Stand firm in support of the Sudanese people and their aspirations for a civilian rule leading to a functioning democracy.
Exercise utmost pressure on the Transitional Military Council (the de facto ruling power in Sudan) to act responsibly in full respect of human rights and international law.
The TMC shall be held responsible for any shooting or killing of any peaceful protesters on and after Sunday the 30th of June 2019.
Press in the TMC for an immediate halt of its continuous three-week complete internet blackout.
Emphasize to TMC the transfer of power to civilian led government in respect of its reached agreement with the Forces of the Declaration of Freedom and Change (FDFC) that is drafted by the African Union and the Ethiopian mediating team.
Mobilize forces and show support of the Sudanese people by reaching out to the media, local communities, and human rights organizations.
We call on the US government to stand by the Sudanese people's right to freedom of opinion and expression. We urge you to exert effective pressure on the government of Sudan to allow unhindered peaceful demonstrations and to let them know that the world is watching and violence against unarmed peaceful demonstrations in Sudan comes with consequences.
