Jessica' s Law for Massachusetts
Dear Senate President, House Speaker, Senators and Representatives of the state of Massachusetts,
I am a citizen of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and I strongly urge you to support the Jessica's Law, An Act Relative to the Safety of Children in the Commonwealth. This bill is the Massachusetts version of Jessica's Law and would strengthen our laws against sex offenders. This bill creates minimum sentencing for the worst crimes against our children- rape by force, and child pornography. In order to uphold these sentences and further protect the children of the Commonwealth, this bill establishes GPS tracking for level 2 and 3 offenders, closes loopholes on registration requirements, and establishes a predator-free zone.
As elected officials you have a responsibility to your constituents to see that this bill stays active until it is signed into law. The safety of our children should be your number one priority.
