It\'s Time for Common Sense Gun Control Measures
Petition Congress to be held accountable for responsible gun control measures
In the wake of Orlando, the American people have been devastated once again by gun violence. Despite repeated calls for gun control measures after every major mass shooting, we have failed to see any substantive reform that would better regulate the sale and purchase of semi-automatic and automatic weapons. According to recent national polls, the majority of Americans desire to see gun laws reformed in the U.S. I am pleased to hear that the Senate is voting on gun control measures on Monday. I urge Congress to listen to the American people and to 1) Ban all suspected terrorists on the no-fly list from being able to purchase a gun 2) Require background checks for all purchases at gun shows and 3) Ban civilian use and purchase of assault weapons.
