Issueing of a Social Security Number / Card takes more than 18 Months (too long)

Dear Madam or Sir

I am an American citzen living in Berlin (Germany).
Last year on February, 25 (2020) I was at the consulate in Frankfurt (Germany) and submitted an application for a Social Security Number / Card (SSN).
The information I got during application was that issueing could take up to one year.
Now it is more than 1.5 years later and I still haven't receive the SSN.
In this year (2021) I have contacted several times the SSA office in the consulate in Frankfurt and additionally the SSA headquarter in Baltimore and the city of Boston (I was born there). At last I contacted the SSA on August, 30th. Contact to the SSA office in the consulate in Frankfurt is only possible by e-mail.
I didn't get always an answer and when it was "Thank you for contacting the Social Security Administration" or "We are looking into the question you asked".
I need the SSN for banking and business affairs soonly.
I please that you do everything in your power to ensure that I receive my SSN soon.
It is unacceptable for a federal agency to take so long for such a process.
