I was a NJ Police Officer, and a Combat Vet as well as a Cum Laude Grad from a prominant univ. One night of drinking led to a bad decision 13 years ago, NJ passed sensible 1st offenders expungment Laws in 2010 and under old law I wlda had to wait until 2015, now I won't look so hypocritical to my 5 kids, if I can get a conviction, any1 can, this is the right law to be passed, there should be at least a 5 year waiting period from date the sentence is completed to show the penance and only helps the cause of the 1st time offender. I was 26 when my life was changed for 1/3rd of it, I have waited for 13 years and not a day passed where I didn't think of my stupidity and how its affected me mentally. Other then my above stated incident I've never even had a parking ticket.. Good luckREPORT COMMENTS
