HOAs have more power than IRS!
My most recent issue with the Stone Mountain, GA, Waters Edge subdivision (Dockside). Begin when we started having heavy rain, windstorm and hail this year. My home was one of the victims in our subdivision that was damaged. I had leaks inside my home and I call my insurance agent to request an onsite evaluation. I was approved for the replacements of my roof. (75-85%) damage. They classified it as an (ACT OF GOD). In an emergency I didn't think to get my HOA approval. I was informed
by my HOA that I violated the covenants and no exception to the rules. I had to contact them to set-up a date for a hearing, if not, the charges will continue with interest.
I have many more conflicts with my HOA that I will address later.
Please put an end to this Autocrat control in this USA.
