Help Bring Zaiden Home
My name is Cacey Miller. I am reaching out to anyone that I think can help me..My son Zaiden Francis was born on June 19,2013. Zaiden was diagnosed with Cephalhematoma when he was around 7 months old. So I am very protective of him. Any little fall or slightest knock to the head I would bring him right to the ER. I rather be safe than sorry. On 6/7/15 While Zaiden was spending over night visitations with his father Pernell Francis he was rushed to the ER because father states Zaiden fell down cement steps.. The Dr. And social worker wasn't sure if his story matched Zaidens injuries so they informed me they were going to get a social worker involved. The Hospital ER Dr. Advised us not to let father see him...On 6/8/15 DHS case worker came to our home..Ms. Holmes...also Instructed us not to let father see him till they investigate more . On 6/11/15 My mom and I were going up to modify the custody order for which we fear for Zaiden's safety with his father. Ms. Holmes and her supervisor called they told me we have to talk it was urgent. So we immediately went home. When we got home we found out my sister toke the baby down AC for the day to see our elderly Aunt Rainey and Uncle Mickey...Who Live there. When Ms. Holmes and another caseworker came out to the house (didn't catch his name) They brought two police officers with them instructing us to turn Zaiden over to DHS care. I then broke down crying my heart was shattered, my world was being token from me. When asked why are they removing Zaiden, they stated Zaiden was at the ER too many times in one year. My mom and I started digging out folders, finding Zaidens MRI discharge papers of proof that Zaiden was born with Cephalhematoma. We informed that's the reason we are so protective of him. They did not want to hear it. My mom then called my sister and left her a voicemail that she had to bring Zaiden home right away. Later that day I called Mrs... Holmes supervisor and begged her to place my son with a family member which was agreed upon, he is now in Mary Piscitelli care. From there we were told he would reside with Mary until the investigation is over which can take up to 60 days. On 7/23/15 we went up for a "safety plan meeting" We were told the investigation was over and they suspected no child abuse and the case was switched over to Bethanna (cua) which was stated Zaiden will remain with Mary to 30-60 days. On 8/13/15 when I have completed EVERYTHING they have asked of me the exact words I received was "the process isn't that quick". I am at Mary Piscitelli house every day all day until my son falls asleep, still bathing him, cooking for him, supporting him just in a different home, why? 60 days turned into about 4 months. Nobody can tell us anything nor give us the answers were looking for. Now on 9/4/15 Ms. Ashley just informed me they got court involved and a hearing will be in 2 weeks.
