For people that have criminal records that want to better there lives & go to college for what they want !
Some people do change there lives & want to succeed but we get discriminated & can't further our lives.
My name is Leslie Butler, I live in Minnesota & am a single mother of two wonderful children ! The reason I am petitioning this is because I was young when my criminal record occurred & I have paid my dues ! Also learned from my mistakes I now do not drink anymore & that is when my assaults happened I now turned my life around & want to better myself and my kids by going back to college . But the thing of it is is that I am discriminated as with other people in other states for mistakes that we all have paid our dues for so where is the justice of this ?? I want to go for nursing I love elderly people & for me not to be able to do what I want to do hurts! So please take this into consideration and don't discriminate people that paid there dues for there actions . I could see if it was repeatedly yes but for people that have learned from there mistakes give us what we deserve ! Thank you, Leslie Butler
