Fix the VA
The VA is backlogged to the point that it can not pay Veterans or surving spouses in any kind of timely manner. Veterans are dying while waiting. Surviving spouses and families are struggling waiting for pay owed to them by law. If you call, you are repeatedly told that there is a backlog due to insufficient employees.
We claim to care about our Veterans. If that is true, isn't it time to get rid of the backlog by hiring enough people so that our Veterans and families can get their claims processed in weeks rather than months or years?
Please Congress and Mr. President, find a way to work together to solve this problem. Sooner rather than later. Our Veterans and families deserve better than what they are getting.
