Felony Reform

Remove felony box from applications, employers to stop discriminating against first- time offenders.

In the State of Arizona we have now changed on employment applications if you have ever been convicted of a crime (felony). In the past applications were only concerned with the ten years. Congress, this has if I may discriminate against allot of educated individuals who have changed their lives and want to contribute to society. However, are discriminated due to their past conviction which is a lifetime. I ask for your support in my petition to remove the felony box in the State of Arizona. Having a felony should not define nor prove to an employer your skills or education that is sufficient for the particular job. I hope and pray that you and other in our governmental judicial branches will support my position to remove this box which discriminates against a large number of potentially great employers.
