STOP TIPPING FOR SERVICES
It is time to do away with tipping as a form of bringing wages up to the Federal Minimum Wage standard. Tipping/gratuity originated as a way to reward people for doing a good job and giving good service. It has gotten out of hand and used for a way to bring a persons wages up to the standard. It is also become expected which it should not be. If I receive poor service, I should not be expected to reward that service. Most countries do not have this practice and the United States needs to do away with it as well. Make ALL employers follow the same standards. All companies should be required to pay a fair wage rather than depending on customers to figure out what one should earn. In this way there is not one person making less than another doing the same thing as another with similar experience and expertise.
