fair child support for fathers
too many involved father paying ridiculous amounts of child support and can\'t support themselves.
The laws set in place for child support in the state of New York are completely unfair and utterly ridiculous to the non custodial parents. The amounts of child support alot of involved fathers pay is way above what some fathers can afford. Child support does not distinguish what a reasonable amount should be to what they take. I make average $160 a week. They take $150 from me, how do they expect me to survive and provide for my own well being and still maintain providing for my child? The add up of arrears alone can be ridiculous to the average middle class man. Mothers seem to get plenty of leverage as they can raise or decrease the amount of support they want at anytime. The law doesn't seem to consider a fathers own personal finances to survive and provide. It is time that there be a much more fair act put in place that allows fathers who are involved to have a bit more flexibility with their own income. It is demoralizing when a man has to work all week long and make half of his original check.
