Excruciating Neuropathic pain why we need these meds
I am a retired Nurse of 33 yrs.that cared for many patients with chronic pain. I was forced to retire due to Trigeninal Neuralgia. An extremely debilitating painful condition of the trigeminal nerve. I had surgery that stopped the stabbing pain. However now I have Anesthesia delorosa which is damage to the nerve due to a complication found during surgery. My point is if it weren't for the Gabapentin and Oxcarbezapine I was on I don't know what I would have done. Now after surgery I am still on Gabapentin that sees me thru the day. These medications are crucial to people like myself to be able to function w chronic painful conditions. Would they not be to you also? I am sure they would.
