Evacuate Americans from Yemen Now!
American citizens are stuck in Yemen
As your constituent, I am writing today to urge you to call for the immediate evacuation of U.S. citizens in Yemen. It is imperative that Congress stands for the American citizens neglected and left to fend for themselves in Yemen.
There are numerous reports of US citizens trapped in Yemen without any way of leaving after the U.S. embassy suspended its operations and relocated its staff on February 11th, 2015. Since then, the situation has deteriorated greatly and countries like China, Korea, Russia, India and other European countries have evacuated their citizens. The U.S. remains the only country that has not done anything to evacuate its citizens out of Yemen.
As an American, I am deeply concerned with the administration?s negligence and disregard for the lives of Americans in Yemen. Asking other countries with limited resources to rescue Americans has never been an American solution.
As your constituent, I urge you to call for an immediate evacuation of American citizens who are stuck in Yemen and to bring them to safety.
