Equal Rights for Transgender Children
Children with gender dysphoria are denied equal rights through the education system in U.S. public schools.
The United States Federal Government should mandate a law similar to California's Assembly Bill 1266, signed by Gov. Jerry Brown. This law promotes that public schools must respect students gender identity and makes sure that they can fully participate in all school activities, sports teams, programs, and facilities that match their gender identity.Passing a law similar in nature will ensure that public schools in the U.S. implement procedurals that extend equal rights to all students despite their gender identification.
