END the State of War between North and South Korea and other Korean War participants.

It is time to end the State of War in the context of the Korean Cease Fire.

On June 25, 1950, the hand that held the dagger plunged it into his

neighbor's back - as North Korea attacked South Korea and tried to

overwhelm it militarily. South Korea was reduced to less than 10%

of its size within days, as the country collapsed into disorder, violence

and starvation everywhere. Then, US forces under General MacArthur

seized Inchon within four months, in a lighting strike which did away

with the "Pusan Perimeter" remnant of South Korea - and within a few

weeks North Korea was gone. By then, other UN members managed to

send troops to South Korea to assist the largely American effort. Chinese

troops - unbeknownst to the Americans - were already in North Korea

prior to November of 1950 - and as Chinese troops crossed over into

North Korea from the Yalu-Tumen borderline, and emerged from hiding

within North Korea, American forces were trapped as Chinese forces

pushed south of the 38th parallel again, and invaded South Korea.

This seesawing and "human wave" tactic of Chinese forces continued

until July 27, 1953, when the cease-fire took effect - but the cease fire

did NOT end the "State of War" between the belligerents. And who were

the belligerents, really? North and South Korea, true - but also China

and the United States, mainly, supporting "both Koreas" respectively.

.

Since July 27, 1953, there have been several acts of blockade, reprisal,

capture and sabotage; and espionage not only between North and South

Korea, but also between China and the United States.

.

Until and unless the State of War in the Korean cease-fire ENDS, this

creates a loose fuse situation which is very dangerous to world peace

and dangerous to the security of both China and the United States.

Moreover, this loose fuse destabilizes North and South Korea and

the relationship between both.

.

On the other hand, if we use our diplomatic knowledge and the fullest

range of diplomatic resources wisely, We, the people of the United States,

in order to form a more perfect Union, can establish Justice on the

international front by ending this State of War, and bringing about

a trend leading to a long-term peace not only between North and South

Korea, but between China and the United States too. This would

be of benefit for all mankind.

.

Now that this idea is before Congress, I should think it would be

COMMON SENSE to place this idea before Secretary of State

John Kerry and the appropriate desks at the US State Department,

as well as to appraise the Governments of China, South Korea,

North Korea, Japan, Russia and Taiwan of developments on this front,

as well as to appraise His Excellency Ban Ki Moon, Secretary General

of the United Nations, of this overlooked and overdue idea.

.

Very truly yours,
