Ease green card backlogs for highly skilled employment based immigrants

Dear Senator Mr. Perdue,

Thanks for your response and I really appreciate all the hard work you are doing for the initiative "Make America Great Again" with President Trump. We all are partnering with you on this and I can rest assure you can get any help you need from us. To make the effort more productive I think the legal, high skilled immigrants who are adding a new dimension to the US economy day by day needs a confidence that they have a ground to settle in US (peacefully) and continue to serve this great country in whatever way possible. Like if you see my case I am in the US from 2004. I am yet to get my GC and waiting for almost a decade now from 8th March 2010, I have helped lot of company to grow both financially and operationally, I made thousands of donations to charity (ARC, Goodwill etc.), each weekend we are running a program to feed homeless people in Atlanta from Atlanta ISKCON (International Society for Krishna Consciousness) temple. I am a member of Purbasha (a non profit organization based in Atlanta) we have arranged several blood donation camps.

The problem is we do not have freedom to work freely in US without GC, we have our bindings with the employer we are currently in and we cannot change the employer easily as it requires visa transfer and most of the employer does not want to do that, we have to always go by Visa (H1/L1 extension, amendment etc,) process which is a pain these days, it impacts our driving license. Our kids who are born and brought up in US cannot apply for a loan or scholarship in colleges. We have so many challenges in every step for not having a GC.

I really appreciate if you please help us here to help you. If you can find a way to get us the EAD the soonest on some ground that will be of immense help like,
1. Remove the per country quota and issue GC as FCFS basis
2. High skilled individual (EB2 Category) having specialty occupation should be able to apply for AOS (Adjustment of Status) if they are waiting for 5 years with an approved I-140
3. Increase the number of GCs for countries (like India) from where we have maximum number of applicants come with specialty occupation in the technology field
4. Remove EB1 Category and move everything into EB2 and EB3.

It is my humble request to please work with Senator Lee to fine tune the S.386 (Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act of 2019) and get it approved the soonest you can.

Thanks a lot again for all the great work you do for America!
God bless America!

Thanks,
Bilas P Palit
