Early release for nonviolent inmates
My son has been incarcerated since 2014 on nonviolent crimes. I feel he got much to long for the crimes. He was given to 10 years. He is now in New Hanover Correctional Institution waiting on work release. Covid-19 has held that up also. Would it be possible for him to be looked at for early release or the MAPP Program? He would need to have the facility to help him find a place to live and help him get a job. I feel he has served enough time to pay for his crimes. He will be 42 January 4, 2021. His time to be able to start over is narrowing.
