Legally define marriage as between one man and one woman
As marriage is downgraded and redefined I urge you to protect the future of marriage by legally defining marriage as between a man and a woman.
The numbers of people who treat the meaning of marriage as the unique bond of the two sexes are staggering. This is not the time for Congress to think that it is popular to morph marriage into any other form than what it truly is, the cornerstone of the heterosexual culture.
There is a significant difference between a definition and a meaning, those who seek to redefine marriage can never grasp the meaning nor the tremendous negative impact it will have on millions of individuals past, present and future.
We must do all we can to protect and restore this unique bond. As you consider introducing new proposals, I ask you to protect marriage by defining it legally as the union of two opposites, these opposites being one man and one woman, joined together as one in matrimony. I ask you to take a balanced and fair approach and consider all areas of people, including those that seem to be a forgotten voice, those who value the meaning of marriage.
