Dads of Female Athletes for Fairness
As a father of female athletes, I am a Dad against the unfair practice of allowing transgender athletes to compete against our daughters in high school and collegiate sports and destroying their dreams. I find it unacceptable that transgender athletes are allowed to compete, if you can even call it that, against female athletes. While in high school, I competed in track. I was able to go to regional competitions, but did not have the speed to make it to the State competition. Had pretending to be a female been an option, I could have competed against females and made it to the State level, if not beyond. It is how God made us. Male athletes are faster and stronger than female athletes. Wanting to compete as a transgender against women in sports is something only an unethical man would want to do. There are no champion caliber male athletes competing in female sports for a reason. The transgender athletes that compete against females are those unable to achieve elite status against men and know they can against women. There is a reason why we do not see transgender (females pretending to be male) athletes competing and winning in male sports. It is not biologically possible at the elite level.
Most of us are not gifted enough physically to compete at the elite level. Imagine playing softball, soccer, or any other sport in a city recreational league. You want to win, but the city decides to allow elite athletes to compete in the league. Your office softball team is now playing against the New York Yankees. Your soccer team made up of local friends is now competing against the USA National Team. No one, except maybe the elite athletes destroying every recreation team, would find this acceptable. The differences in the abilities and capabilities of a female and a male are similar to this.
The move allowing this has, and is, destroying women’s sports and is unfair at the most basic level. Legislation preventing transgender athletes from competing against female athletes needs to be passed. It is the only logical and fair action to take. We need to protect our daughters. We need to stop destroying their dreams.
