Constitutional Amendment: Acknowledge God in the Preamble

Most Americans believe our US Constitution acknowledges God as did The Mayflower Compact signed by the Pilgrims in 1620, which has resulted in over 400 years of blessings for our nation. However, except for a line for the signers "In the year of our Lord," no mention of God is made in the document that defines us as a nation. In contrast, every in every one of the Preambles in the 50 states acknowledges a Supreme Being, and many nations around the world do so as well.

We the undersigned citizens of the United States, urge every member of the US Congress to "Return to our Roots" (The Mayflower Compact) by supporting and advocating for a Constitutional Amendment that would change the Preamble to read (proposed):

In the Name of God,
By the Grace of God,
For the Glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith,
And in the Presence of God,

We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution of the United States of America.
