Researched for a military war memorial in my hometown years ago...we read over 32,000 DD214's (discharge forms). One was for 'Bullet", dog who returned and lived out his life cared for. What has changed re: these all giving animals?...and even more upsetting, what has happened to us that we value any life so little?? THEY ARE NOT EQUIPMENT.
