Close the military base in Israel and adhere to the leahy law and stop sending weapons to Israel

We, your voters, are writing to express our deep concern and call for immediate action regarding the ongoing military support provided to Israel. We believe that a reevaluation of our foreign policy is necessary, and we urge you to consider the following points as we appeal for a change in current practices.

Systematic Human Rights Violations as Reported by the United Nations:
The United Nations has documented and reported systematic human rights violations in Israel, particularly in the occupied territories. These well-documented instances, including reports of the Israeli military shooting three hostages who were holding white flags, raise serious questions about the ethical implications of providing military aid to a country involved in actions that violate international law and human rights standards.

Leahy Law Compliance:
The Leahy Law prohibits the United States from providing military assistance to foreign security force units that are credibly implicated in gross violations of human rights. There are concerns that the aid to Israel may not be in full compliance with the Leahy Law, and your voters call for a thorough and transparent investigation to ensure adherence to this legislation.

Resolution of Conflict through Effective Means:
The ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict requires a comprehensive and diplomatic solution. Recent reports of the Israeli military shooting three hostages who were holding white flags underscore the urgent need for a reevaluation of our support. This tragic incident not only emphasizes the need for negotiation as a means to rescue the hostages, but also underscores the urgency of addressing blatant human rights violations from the Israeli military endangering not only the lives of Palestinians but the lives of Israelians too. We advocate for a more balanced approach to promote dialogue, negotiation, and effective resolution to bring the hostages home and address the underlying issues.

Promotion of an Effective and Equitable Peace:
We advocate for a foreign policy that promotes an effective and equitable peace in the region. Ceasing military aid to Israel could encourage a more balanced approach to the conflict, fostering an environment conducive to dialogue and negotiation and stop the US from being isolated and alone at UN meetings, as the US was the only permanent member to use it's veto power to stop a ceasefire. This poor decision is ruining the diplomatic relations of the US.

Financial Allocation:
The significant financial resources allocated to military aid could be redirected to address pressing domestic needs, such as healthcare, education, and infrastructure. Reallocating funds away from military assistance could also contribute towards lowering the national debt and preventing another economic crises.

In light of these concerns, we, your voters, respectfully demand that you take immediate action to:

Close the US military Mashabim Air Base in Israel.
Conduct a thorough and transparent investigation to ensure compliance with the Leahy Law.
Cease the provision of weapons and military assistance to Israel until compliance with human rights standards is assured.

We appreciate your attention to this matter and hope for a swift and positive response. Our collective voice reflects a commitment to justice, human rights, and an effective resolution to conflicts.

Thank you for your consideration.
