Chronic Lyme Treatment Cannot Be Limited by Insurance Companies

A law ruling that insurance companies recognize and cover chronic lyme treatment

I have Chronic Neurological Lyme Disease. It has left me unable to work a full time job. My insurance company has refused to continue my iv antibiotics after 30 days, even though the oral antibiotics have not made any significant difference in 20 months of therapy. The insurance company over-ruled my doctor and told me that the treatment was no longer medically necessary. This is outrageous.

Insurance companies must be kept in check. Making medical decisions for patience is not their job. This needs to change. Doctors determine what is or isn't a disease. Something needs to change.
