Child Custody and Support Reform
Outdated Child Custody Laws are causing more and more damage every year to children who are stuck in the middle of State Enforced Custody and Support Issues
Dear Congress,
Parents deserve the right to raise their children. Its God's law and the general public would all agree that children are best off with their parents. Grandparents, Relatives, Foster Homes should not be allowed to keep custody for the entire childhood. Parents should be allowed a way back to their children. Temporary custody under current law, is actually permanent custody. In order for the Parent to get custody back they have to prove the Grandparent or Relative is Abusive and Life Threatening. Hundreds of Thousands of Grandparents and Relatives are abusing this right and not giving the children back to their parents. The Parents should be able to get their kids back 100% of the time as long as they meet the right requirements as set forth by some additions and modifications of the laws.
Child custody laws are outdated. Working America is completely different than when these laws were written. In addition the way Child Support is calculated and required needs a complete overhaul, as it is shown to be very unfair.
