Changes to medicaid transportation issues

I am contacting you to help with the current medicaid rule pertaining to the transportation. The current rule only allows the transport to and from the medical office and will not pay for the patient to get to the pharmacy to obtain the medications their doctor has prescribed for them at the medical appt! So the patients have two options, they can walk to the pharmacy, no matter how far away it is, obtain the medication then walk back to the drs office in able to get a ride back home or they can get dropled off at the pharmacy BUT they are responsible to find their own way home!!!!!!!!!! Really?? This is absolutely absurd and needs to be changed!! Obviously if a person is having to depend on the medical transportation they do not have any other means of transportation to rely on. So medicaid will pay for the way to the drs office where the dr prescribes medication they will also pay for the medication itself but will not provide the means to obtain these medications...... Can we see the problem here?? Please help me fix this so we can have access to getting our medications.
