BAN THE USE OF TARTRAZINE IN MEDICATIONS AND FOOD

Linked to cancer, allergies in adults and children and ADHD

The use of Tartrazine is derived from coal tar and has been deemed unsafe to consumers. It has been linked to cancer, asthma, allergies in adults and children, and has also been linked to ADHD; this is a VERY dangerous additive, which some countries have recognized and banned.

People with true allergies to the dye are extremely limited to the purchase of foods, but more importantly are not able to take necessary medications prescribed by their physicians, as there are few, if any alternatives available without the use of Tartrazine in medications, vitamins, and most over the counter drugs, (cough syrups, antacids, sinus medications, etc.).

I urge you and the FDA to evaluate the public's safety and prevent drug manufacturers from using unsafe additives in medications, as well as, food manufacturing companies. More money is spent on healthcare due to illnesses caused by unsafe fillers; in addition to robbing consumers from living a quality of life.
