Articulating Autism Cams in Class
A mandatory camera in any class with a student unable to communicate with access to parents online.
When your child goes some where for 5 days a week for 7 hours a day you have no choice but to trust them & tell your child to tell you about a bully or a faculty member behaving in an inappropriate way. The stress it causes parents of children who are not able to communicate like my son constantly worrying if anyone is doing anything to harm them is unbearable at times. Preventing another HLN story about another disabled child victimized at school is easier then the process of recovering from a tragedy like this. If their is one student who has communication difficulties a camera needs to be on and accessible to that parent at all times. These kids need to be protected and we as parents are responsible for protecting them, no one else.
