April is Eastern European Month for the United States of America

We, the residents of the United States of America petition the US Congress to pass legislation to establish April as Eastern European Month and to create an Eastern European Commission for the United States. The people of the United States are called upon to observe the month of April with appropriate educational opportunities, ceremonies, and activities.
With millions of US residents of Eastern European ancestry, there is a need for this community to have an active voice including continuous dialogue concerning our cultures and contributions to the United States of America with our national government.
