AMEND FEDERAL LABOR LAWS FOR NIGHT WORKERS

Tell your elected officials to change labor laws for employees who work night shifts

All employees who work evening, late night and overnight shifts should receive mandatory night differential pay. Labor laws need to be amended to ensure they are paid properly and fairly.



Although many workers in labor unions receive night differential pay, many non-union workers, are being denied it, due to a loophole in current labor laws. Therefore, there is no law to protect them. This needs to be corrected, to make sure all full-time non-union labor workers who work night shift hours receive the same differential and holiday pay as other employees that work the same shift.



Please amend current labor laws, to make it mandatory for ALL full-time night workers receive night differential pay, for working evening, late night or overnight hours. They should receive equal pay for equal work, regardless of union or non-union status.
